55.0 lb Maris Otter
5.0 oz Magnum whole hops @ 90 min
5.0 oz homegrown hops @ 30 min
5.0 oz homegrown hops @ 1 min
2 tbs wyeast yeast nutrient
1 packet Fermentis SafeAle SO4 dry yeast
CO2: 2.5 vol
Original Specific Gravity: 1.140
Final Specific Gravity: 1.025
Boil Time: 4 hours
Primary Fermentation: 5 days at 65 F
Secondary Fermentation 120 days at 65 F
Directions:
Treat brewing water with 1 Tbs Epsom salt and 1 Tbs calcium carbonate. Mash at 145 F for 60 minutes. Take first 2 gallons of runnings and boil to 1/2 gallon, add back to the main boil.
